Ever since I was knee high to a grasshopper, I was helping out around the house. I remember working with my father who was always doing something around the house that usually included renovating and remodeling something. I vividly recall one Saturday afternoon when we were removing the old wood windows, scrapping them, repainting, and then reinstalling them. It seemed like every 4 years we would do this window project. What a job! Thank God for better, low-maintenance windows. I quickly learned from my father how to do the job correctly and efficiently. My father always had me at his side as his little helper. We repainted the house, installed a dehumidifier, and fixed and changed out bad electrical outlets. Next, we fixed gutters, repaired plumbing problems and the list goes on. By the time I was 12 year old, I just wanted to play with my friends but my father had other plans for my free time.
