The purpose of Visit Vallejo California is to develop and promote the greater Vallejo area and its amenities as an overnight destination, thereby contributing to the area's economic growth and to the enhancement of the area's public image as a desirable visitor destination.
Visit Vallejo California was formed in 1987 under the auspices of the Vallejo Chamber of Commerce and in conjunction with the opening of Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. In 1990, Visit Vallejo separated from the Vallejo Chamber of Commerce to become its own organization and moved to the Vallejo Ferry Terminal.
